BILLY FREAKIN MADISON!! WOOO!

BILLY MADISON

here's a list of 5 scenes that I thought were funniest (no particular order).

1) ..."Here's a nice piece of S**t!"
The burning dog crap part was funny to me because it portrays stupid mischief, and I can relate to some of it (no more detail).

2) "Ooh that boy's a fine piece of work all right. He's a fine piece of a** though, too!"
This is a funny quote to me because Juanita from the movie reminds me a crazy lady from my church.

3) Principal: Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Billy Madison: Okay, a simple "wrong" would've done just fine.

This is a very funny part of the movie, in my opinion. I find it funny because I have had someone go off on me with some rant like that, over something relatively small. Very funny.

4) "If peeing in your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis."

Ha-ha! Every time I think of this I laugh. One time, one of my family members pooped his pants (an adult) and I just find this strait-up hilarious.

5) Bus Driver: That Veronica Vaughn is one piece of a**, I know from experience dude. If you know what I mean.

Billy Madison: No, you don't.

Bus Driver: Well, not me personally but a guy I know. Him and her *got it on*. Woo-eee!

Billy Madison: No, they didn't.

Bus Driver: No, no, no they didn't. But you could imagine what it'd be like if they did, right...? Everybody on, good, great, grand, wonderful. [shouts]

Bus Driver: No yelling on the bus!

Chris Farley was an amazing, hilarious actor as well. This scene was funny to me because the bus driver is totally lying about everything, and I know some kids that are big time story tellers also.

Thats it! That is my 'Great Scenes' review of the greatest movie ever!

The Forest for the Trees....I guess.

This foreign movie showed the life of a lonely, first-year teacher named Melonie. She was a young woman who craved attention. Her problem was that she seemed desperate outside of the classroom, and couldn't control her students in the classroom. Her "friend" would become annoyed with her at times. Melonie would over think things as well. She became a wreck, so-to-speak. The movie comes to a close with her sitting in the back seat of her moving vehicle...No one else was in the car...Yeah, strange.

D.C. Comics- V for Vendetta and Dark Knight

D.C. Comics (and me) presents...

V For Vendetta & The Dark Knight

compare and contrast

Before studying both of these films, I honestly didnt realize that they were both D.C. comic-based movies. It was the first time that i had seen V for Vendetta, and I didnt realize that The Dark Knight was even a D.C. comic and not a Marvel Comic. I personally like V for Vendetta alot better than the Dark Knight. Now, dont get me wrong, I liked the Dark Knight, but I had seen it so many times that it just kind of bored me by this point, and the other movie was something new and fresh and interesting that I could really get in to.

These movies had similarities and differences, and that is obviously why I am going to compare and contrast the two.

The character portrayal of the two films was really close, but had its differences as well. let me analyze:
The Dark Knight: He was a hero that the public looked to in times of need. When Gotham needed him, he was there to handle the bad dudes. BUT when the joker came around and was killing people and said he wouldnt stop until Batman took off his mask, the people of Gotham City turned on the Batman and blamed him. So in some eyes, Batman was a hero and a villain, but definitely leaned more to the Hero side of things.
V for Vendetta: The same can be said about "V" from V for Vendetta, but in a reversed way. At first, he was just a villain and a terrorist in public eyes (enforced by the government) and people feared him. BUT throughout the movie many people came to admire him and what he stood for when standing against the government. The thing that burdened "V" and made the general opinion lean more towards the villain-type is the fact that he killed people to make his point, even if he had good intentions.

What about the plots?
In a nutshell, both of our main characters here had intentions of making the world a better place and to be rid of corruption. Both movies show evil at their finest, but in different ways. V for Vendetta showed an angry individual who was kind of evil himself trying to be rid of the severe evil that was the British government. in the Dark Knight, Batman, with the help of some government officials tried to eliminate the evil that was gangs, and more specifically, the Joker.
Now, if you havent seen either of these films yet, or have seen one but not the other, i STRONGLY consider you watch both of them and see for yourself the comparisons D.C. Comics layed out. Huzzah!

Cinema Paradisco- school pictures...relationship

This Photo we took of kelly Holding an umbrella near the train station, in my mind, resembles that of when Toto left Giancaldo, Sicily. He is glad to be leaving but at the same time feels sadness about the departure.

This is a picture of me. Now, I know you might be wondering how this compares to the Movie Cinema Paradisco, but we took a broad view on it. You see, this picture shows my disappointment when I didn't get my water from the machine. This is tied to Cinema Paradisco when all of the citizens were disappointed when the priest would cut out all of the kissing scenes in the films.

Mike is obviously looking out of the window. This resembles how Toto was told by Alfredo to leave into the outside world and never ever look back or return.

This is me again. Yes, I'm listening into a women's' restroom. No, we don't actually do this in real life, but we can compare this to Cinema Paradisco in one word: mischief. Toto got into a lot of this in the movie, so we thought this was an appropriate picture.

Simpsons Movie

What type of movie starts out with the epic Ralph Wiggum yelling out the 20th Century Fox theme tune? That right there screams good film, and the movie hasn't even officially started at this point. The film that I'm refering to is the 2007 movie based off of the animated classic know as... THE SIMPSONS MOVIE!!!

Like all of the movies that I give a pretty in-depth review for, I will use the same rating that I have always used:

1> movie's plot really wasn't clear. was boring and lacked good character developement.

2> plot was definately there but was weak. characters were developed but no main characters pointed out.

3> plot is simple but strong. charcters still not developed well. movie flows decent now.

4> plot is developed. movie flows really well. characters still a bit rigid in certain places.

5> all of the above is covered really well.

For the Simpsons Movie based off of this criteria, I felt that it deserved a 4. Personally I didn't think it was "awesome" by my standards (I thought that most of the cartoon minis on TV were funnier). But it did entertain me, and it actually had a very good plot.

This Movie starts out with Green Day playing a concert on top of a barge-stage on Lake Springfield. The hideous band then sinks into the polluted lake and they die. This makes me happy, because I really dislike Green Day. BUT, what that starting scene sets us up for is basically the entire plot. Pollution and cleaning up the environment; that is basically the theme of the movie.

Homer gets a a little pig from Krusty Burger that he falls in love with and plays with it constantly. Well what do pigs do alot of? Yeah, you get the point... So Homer builds a 'Crap Silo' where he stores all of the pig poop. Marge sees the silo in her back yard and told Homer that he needed to get rid of it. So what does the brilliant yellow man do? He dumped his silo into the already very polluted lake, despite the warning signs and barricades.

This put the lake over the edge. It became very toxic and produced weird, morphed animal creatures. The EPA led by Russ Cargill didn't like that one bit. Cargill goes to the President and has him grant the EPA the clearance to drop a huge glass dome over Springfield to control the contaminated city. This causes chaos and panic throught the town, and they all blamed Homer (becuase it was clearly his fault). A mob burns down his house, but his family escapes through a sink hole and fleas to Alaska.

The trapped citizens beat on the dome and Cargill, not wanting news of what he has done to become known, plans to destroy Springfield. In Alaska, the family see a commercial for a new Grand Canyon to be where Springfield is. Marge and the kids decide to go and save the town. Homer doesnt want to help the people who burned down his house, so his family abandons him and leaves but are captured by the EPA and thrown back in the dome. After a visit from a weird shaman dude, Homer has the inevitable epiphany and decides he has to save the town.

Will Homer suceed in saving Springfield? Will the citizens forgive him? What happens next? Why am i asking so many questions? Watch the movie and find out! :)

The Graduate

Wow. "Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me!" Any movie that has a line like this in it is bound to be good. That's right, I'm talking about the epic 1967 comedy/drama/romance film, The Graduate.

Again, I will rate this movie with the scale I've used for all my reviews, starting with Gone With the Wind. The rating is as follows:

1> movie's plot really wasn't clear. was boring and lacked good character developement.

2> plot was definately there but was weak. characters were developed but no main characters pointed out.

3> plot is simple but strong. charcters still not developed well. movie flows decent now.

4> plot is developed. movie flows really well. characters still a bit rigid in certain places.

5> all of the above is covered really well.

For The Graduate (which I thought was EPIC), I gave my first 5. The acting, for the most part was pretty good with every character; especially the nervous character of Ben. Speaking of the characters, here is a list of the director and important cast memebers in my eyes:

Director Mike Nichols

Anne Bancroft- Mrs. Robinson. This character was great. She was the instigator of much of Benjamin's problems. Great Acting job done.

Dustin Hoffman- Ben Braddock. THIS CHARACTER COULDNT HAVE BEEN PLAYED BETTER IN THIS TIME FRAME!!! Dustin Hoffman did an excellent job at acting this character out.

Katharine Ross- Elaine Robinson. Elaine kind of bugged me in this film, but at the same time I really wanted Ben to go with her and not her mom. Good actress.

Murray Hamilton- Mr. Robinson. This character was pretty comical as well. He was so oblivious to what was going on at first, and then he got really pissed. ha-ha. Good Actor.

William Daniels- Mr. Braddock. This character was really funny. He was also very pushy with Ben, wanting to know what he was going to do with his life. Good Actor.

Elizabeth Wilson- Mrs. Braddock. She was kind of a minor character like Mr. Braddock but was a fairly good actress.

This movie was based around Benjamin Braddock's life after returning home from college. When he gets back his parents throw him a party that he really didnt care to have, inviting all their friends. His father being kind of the goofy guy he was, rented a scuba suit for Ben to put on and then just into the pool in front of all of their friends. He retreats to his room during the actual party later that evening to be by himself.

Who walks in? None other than the magnificant Mrs. Robinson! Push comes to shove and she convinces Ben to drive her home. He tries to just do a drop off and get the heck out of there, but she insists he come inside. From here on out, you pretty much know what is going down. She is DEFINATELY trying to seduce him.

Anyways, like I said, it gets pretty obvious that she wants him. With Mr. Robinson gone, she has a chance to get what she wants. She leads Ben up to her room where she locks him in and starts STRIPPING! WOO! Ha-ha, not really... Its actually pretty messed up. But Mr. Robinson comes home and Ben freaks and runs down to the bar.

This affair becomes more in-depth because Ben becomes cooperative and he and Mrs. Robinson meet at a hotel continually. Next, the plot gets even more twisted when Mr. Robinson and Ben's parents want Ben to take The Robinson's daughter, Elaine out on a date. Mrs. Robinson threatens Ben about this, but he took Elaine out anyways, because of his parents and Mr. Robinson's nagging.

The movie then kind of pans out. Ben tells Elaine about the affair with her mom and she freaks out. Imagine that. She gets pretty upset and doesnt associate herself with him for a while. Mrs. Robinson tells Mr. Robinson that Ben rapped her and all this crap goes down.

Admire a twisted plot of comedy? Check it out, son! The Graduate: 1967

Psycho...

Don't ya just love a movie with a good ol' crazy dude who runs a desolate motel? Well if you are a bit odd youself, and do enjoy a good late sixties film, check out PSYCHO!

On my scale of 1-5 that I developed starting with Gone With the Wind, I gave psycho a rating of 4 based on this criteria:

1> movie's plot really wasn't clear. was boring and lacked good character developement.

2> plot was definately there but was weak. characters were developed but no main characters pointed out.

3> plot is simple but strong. charcters still not developed well. movie flows decent now.

4> plot is developed. movie flows really well. characters still a bit rigid in certain places.

5> all of the above is covered really well.

I gave this old-time suspense/thriller a 4 because i thought it was truely brilliant, but some of the acting could have been a tish better (I understand that most acting has improved now days). This movie truely set the standard for thrillers for today's films, and based on the time frame it is very understandable why this is still the number one thriller.

The pretty well-rounded important movie cast members is as follows:

DIRECTOR- Alfred Hitchcock

Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates- Excellent character. His shady figure and good acting had you guessing for quite a while...

Janet Leigh as Marion Crane- I was really up and down with the character of Marion Crane. If she weren't so stupid, she wouldnt have died. Decent acting, though.

Martin Balsam as Detective Milton Arbogast- This man's life was short lived in the movie (ha-ha). He played a character who was dedicated to work. Decent actor.

John Gavin as Sam Loomis- Sam is the reason for all this mayhem! If it werent for him no one would of had to die! Must admit, acting wasnt bad, on the bright side.

Vera Miles as Lila Crane- This character proved to be a little stupid at times...but hey, she lived! Good actress.

In a nutshell here's what went down! This guy and gal really had a thing (and by thing I mean hotel love-parties) for eachother, but the guy lived in another city and was poor; still paying off his divorced wife, so the two could not get married. This man I refer to was named Sam, and the woman, Marion.

Marion was at work and an old rich dude (who definately knew he was rich) was finallizing something he had purchased in cash...$40, 000 dollars to be exact. Something possessed Marion to steal this money and bring it to her lover so they could clear up his debt to his ex-wife and get married. On her little adventure to Sam, of course it rains. And with this rain came the eiry music. All of a sudden Marion got off of the main road somehow and ended up by this old motel.

This is where we meet Norman Bates, the guy who runs the hotel. What a character. Through the rest of the movie I sat there and was always wondering about him; he was very suspicious. Well anyways after some chat with Norman, Marion decides what she did was wrong and declared she'd bring it back. In her motel room she takes a shower and gets murdered. BAM! And to add to the the wonders...we didn't really know who did it at first.

Her sister gets worried and finds Sam and also hires a detective to figure things out. The detective (Arborgast) gets murdered...he wasn't very smart about how he went about things. So the cops cant get things figured out, the detective cant get things figured out, so what does it take? The boyfriend and sister. Sam entarrogated Norman Bates while Lila went up to snoop around his creepy house to try and find "Norman's Mother" to ask her questions. Sam really lays it down on Norman but than he asks "Where's your wife?" in an irrotated manner, and runs off to the house.

Somewhere along all of this everything pans out. Will I tell you the ending? Nope. Go check it out fool! But I WILL indeed leave you with this...

"I'm not even going to swat that fly. I hope they are watching. They'll see, they'll know, and they'll say, 'Why, she wouldn't even harm a fly'"....

DUN DUN DUN! thriller.
